Established in 2011 under the Societies Registration Act in Chandigarh, India, the Society of Cryospheric Science has been a beacon of excellence in promoting cryospheric research, organizing educational events, and providing crucial guidance on cryospheric matters.



Aims & Objectives of Society
Serve as a national organization to promote, encourage and develop the research and technologies in field of cryosphere and stimulate interest in the science and technology and allied techniques and
application thereof.
Promotion of the professionalism of its members by setting up and maintaining a high standard of competency and by strict enforcement of rules of personal conduct as condition of membership.
Organization of lectures, discussions, conferences, seminars, colloquia and courses on Cryospheric science and technologies.
Explore the new areas for research and development work in the country relating to Cryospheric sciences.
Establish liaison with govt., individuals, institutions and commercial bodies on matters pertaining to Cryospheric sciences and studies and advice them when needed or required.
Co-operate with other bodies having similar objective.
Associate itself with appropriate organization (s) both in India and abroad for the promotion of common objectives and to represent them in India.
Organize regional chapter in different parts of the country as and when need arise.
